How to use the BJD clothing drafting tools

Draft for the doll body, not only the scale label

BJD bodies sold under the same 1/3, 1/4 or 1/6 label can still differ through the torso, waist and back. These tools use the doll's actual measurements and include a scale-ratio control, rather than relying on a generic size label alone.

Choose a block or a finished garment style

The BJD bodice block is a starting point for doll-clothing design. The qipao, Ming-style jiaao, French V-neck and trapeze tools include their garment-specific structure. Enter the listed doll measurements, review the proportions in the preview, then create the print file from the export panel.

Allow for testing at miniature scale

At miniature scale, fabric thickness, seam handling and closure choice have a larger effect on fit. Verify the printed scale and test with fabric similar to the final garment, paying particular attention to the neckline, armholes and torso movement before making adjustments.
