BJD French V-Neck Dress Pattern Generator
Enter doll measurements to create cup, strap, front and back pieces fitted to a specific BJD body.
Record scale and eight doll-body measurements
The tool uses a scale ratio plus bust, shoulder-to-shoulder width, underbust, waist, hip, back length, waist-to-hip length and skirt length. Measure across the back neck from one shoulder point to the other and use a clearly marked flexible tape so miniature measuring points remain consistent.
Review shoulders, the V neckline and torso shaping
After editing the values, check that the shoulder points meet the doll's shoulder ends, the V-neck proportion allows the intended dressing method, and the underbust, waist and hip levels relate correctly. Do not use scale ratio as a substitute for a missing direct measurement.
Test neckline stability and closures in thin fabric
A miniature V neckline can distort through bias grain and seam bulk. Make a thin-fabric test, stabilise the edge where needed, and check torso fit, skirt length, closure method and dressing access before using the final material.
