How to use the womenswear drafting tools

Choose the right pattern starting point

Use the bodice block when you need a fitted foundation. Choose qipao, Ming-style jiaao, French V-neck dress or trapeze dress when you want to draft that garment directly. Start with the intended style, then enter the measurements requested by that tool.

From body measurements to a printable pattern

Measurements are entered in centimetres. The browser preview updates as values change, so review the outline, lengths and key construction before using the export panel. Follow the printing instructions shown during export and verify the printed scale before cutting fabric.

Made-to-measure still needs a fitting test

Parametric drafting makes the pattern respond to individual measurements, but final fit still depends on measuring position, posture, fabric behaviour and construction. When using a new measurement set or fabric, make a test garment first and adjust from the fitting result.
