Custom Bodice Block Pattern Generator

Create a made-to-measure bodice block from bust, waist and back-length measurements, then review it before export.

Build the block from bust, waist and back length

This bodice-block tool uses bust, waist and back length. Measure the bust and waist close to the body without pulling the tape tight, and record back length vertically from the back neck point to the waistline. The draft applies its stated default ease to the circumference inputs.

Review the waistline, side seam and armhole

After changing the values, review the bust-to-waist shaping, waist position, side-seam lengths and armhole outlines on the front and back pieces. This block is a structural starting point for further design; if the proportions look unusual, recheck the measuring points and centimetre units before altering the pieces.

Test the foundation in stable toile fabric

For a new set of body measurements, first make a toile in a stable fabric with behaviour reasonably close to the intended material. Mark the waistline and assess the bust, side seams, shoulders and armhole movement before carrying confirmed adjustments into later designs.
