Draft the fixed sailor style from four body measurements

The summer sailor outfit uses chest, neck, back length and front-leg gap with a fixed sailor collar. Record centimetres while the pet stands naturally and distinguish neck circumference from head circumference; this style does not use head measurements for drafting.

Record your pet's actual measurements first, then consider the stretch of your chosen fabric. Stretchier fabric may call for an adjustment to circumference inputs; do not scale back length or leg gaps along with them. Review sailor-collar orientation and back coverage

In the preview, confirm the sailor collar's front-back orientation, neckline attachment, back coverage and front-leg opening positions. The collar is fixed rather than selectable; if the back proportion looks wrong, recheck back length and chest first.

Test collar movement in a lightweight material

The area of a sailor collar makes fabric weight and stiffness more noticeable. Test in a lightweight material with similar behaviour to the final fabric and observe whether the collar folds, pulls or restricts movement while the pet turns, lowers its head and walks.

Each payment includes two PDF exports for the same pattern style. Make a test garment after the first export. If a measurement was wrong or the fabric stretch makes the fit too loose or tight, recheck and adjust the relevant measurements, then use the remaining export for the revised pattern.
