This fixed Peter Pan collar vest uses chest, neck, back length and front-leg gap. With the pet standing naturally, record the fullest chest, the neck where a collar sits, the back from neck base to just before the tail, and the distance between the inside edges of the front legs.

Record your pet's actual measurements first, then consider the stretch of your chosen fabric. Stretchier fabric may call for an adjustment to circumference inputs; do not scale back length or leg gaps along with them. Review the fixed collar and front-leg openings

Allow for collar bulk during the test fit

A Peter Pan collar adds layers around the neck. Test in material close to the final thickness and check breathing, lowering the head, turning and front-leg movement. Remove the garment immediately if the pet shows distress or restricted motion.
