Pet Pajama Dress Pattern Generator
Use your pet's chest and back-length measurements to create a comfortable, custom-fit pajama dress pattern.
Draft the pajama dress from four body measurements
The pajama dress uses chest, neck, back length and front-leg gap. Its chest panel follows the tiered-dress structure. The former curved back hem moves one tenth of the back length toward global negative Y, leaving the final centre back one tenth above the original hem; the rotated right-side construction points extend by the same distance along the F1 side direction before a four-point cubic Bezier joins the centre back, mirrored at mAB. Both back-hem curves are then copied upward as a customer internal: the centre moves one fifth of the back length in global positive Y, while the sides follow RQ_bottom–F1 and RQ_mAB_bottom–F1_mAB by the same distance. The chest hem centre and side start follow the same one-tenth downward rule. Four inward tucks at the internal fifths of BH_mAB—BH add 2cm each, or 8cm in total. Two equal-width rectangular skirt panels are each one fifth of the back length high and 1.5 times the combined length of the mirrored back-hem curves; a wave and dashed internal mark the gathering line at the vertical centre of each panel.
Review the curved back hem, inward tucks and rectangular skirt panel
In the preview, check the cubic Bezier start formed by extending the rotated two-fifths construction point by one tenth of the back length along F1–RQ_bottom toward global negative Y, together with its curve to the final centre-back point and its mAB mirror. The start follows the extended side direction and the centre-back end is horizontal. On the internal curve above it, the centre must be exactly one fifth of the back length higher and both side starts must move the same distance toward F1/F1_mAB along their side seams. All four vertical tucks must stop on F1_mAB–F1; the left pair folds right and the right pair folds left, with all allowances turned inward. On both skirt panels, the wave and dashed internal must join the side midpoints, and each gathering target equals the combined length of the two back-hem curves.
Test the fit in a soft fabric
A pajama dress should prioritise comfort while resting. Before cutting the final fabric, test in a soft material with similar stretch and thickness, checking that the neck, chest, front legs and raised curved hem do not tighten, roll up or catch the hind legs while lying down or walking.
