Pet Bib Pattern Drafting

Adjust measurements, select collars and preview your pet bib pattern.

Measure the neck and choose bib shapes

This bib is drafted from the neck measurement without chest or back-length inputs. Measure around the intended wearing position while the pet stands naturally, without compressing its coat. Choose triangle, round, square, heart or flower shapes individually or together. The initial selection is a triangle bib with a suit collar.

Record your pet's actual measurements first, then consider the stretch of your chosen fabric. Stretchier fabric may call for an adjustment to circumference inputs; do not scale back length or leg gaps along with them. See the measurement guide below for measuring methods and stretch-fabric guidance.

Review collar combinations and separate cutting pieces

Choose suit, Peter Pan, bow or petal collars. The styling reference cycles through every selected shape and collar combination, while the cutting preview contains the required pieces for each selection. The suit style includes a collar and chest insert. The bow style includes left and right pieces plus a loop, kept together in the layout.

Check the printed scale and make a sample

Before export, check the neck measurement, shapes, collars and button positions. Follow the print guide, verify the scale line and print at actual size. Make a sample in suitable inexpensive fabric to assess comfort and closures before cutting the final material. Additional shapes or collars increase the price; review the selected combination total before payment.

Each payment includes two PDF exports for the same pattern style. Make a test garment after the first export. If a measurement was wrong or the fabric stretch makes the fit too loose or tight, recheck and adjust the relevant measurements, then use the remaining export for the revised pattern.
