Record the torso, front-leg and hind-leg measurements

The custom four-leg tool uses chest, neck, back length, front-leg gap, front-leg circumference and length, hip-to-thigh-root length, hind-leg circumference and hind-leg length. Take the full set in one natural standing posture and define the intended sleeve and trouser opening positions before measuring length.

Record your pet's actual measurements first, then consider the stretch of your chosen fabric. Stretchier fabric may call for an adjustment to circumference inputs; do not scale back length or leg gaps along with them. Check all four limbs after choosing collar and sleeve modules

The page supports four collar types and base, lantern, bubble and ruffle sleeves. After combining modules, review front-hind order, left-right pairing, leg-root placement, sleeve and trouser lengths and neckline joins. Hind-leg positioning relies particularly on hip-to-thigh-root length.

Run a movement test that includes walking and toileting

Make a complete test garment in material similar to the final choice and check the neck, underarms, belly and hind-leg roots while the pet walks, sits, turns and toilets. Local tightness in a four-leg structure can alter gait and should be corrected before final construction.

Each payment includes two PDF exports for the same pattern style. Make a test garment after the first export. If a measurement was wrong or the fabric stretch makes the fit too loose or tight, recheck and adjust the relevant measurements, then use the remaining export for the revised pattern.
